Fabric Friday: Japanese Colour Club {Yellow}
I'm loving the surprise I get every month when my monthly colour club bundle arrives from Blossom Heart Quilts.
Some of the above fabrics have already been put aside for some unisex baby items.
Now just to find the time to actually get making!

Fabric Love Friday: Glimma
I had several good mail days this week and I wanted to share some of the gorgeous fabrics I received.
These fabrics are from Westwood Acres. I have been lusting over so many of the fabrics they carry for a long long time. And finally a few weeks ago I had enough saved in my paypal account to afford them (hint: I ordered a lot more than what is in this post. I planning on sharing more next week).
The above fabrics are Glimma from Lotta Jansdotter for Windham Fabrics and I can't wait to create something with them. I have a few projects in mind. Just have to narrow it down, but you already know how indecisive I am so it could take a while...

Fabric Love
When I order fabric I tend to do largish orders to take advantage of postage rates and specials.
A few weeks ago I stumbled upon an AWESOME sale over at Everyday Fabrics. The prizes were around $4.50 per yard so I went a little crazy. All up I ordered 23 yards of fabric and including postage they worked out at about $9 per yard which still super cheap for us here in Australia.
I mean look at my pretty pile!
The fabrics are:
Bunny Hill Pink
Sweet Owlies in Peach
Marmalade Leaf Sugar
Bella Solids Lime
Bells Solids Orange
Bella Solids Scarlet
Thar She Blows- Blue
Fire Clown Stripe
The Sweetest Thing Floral in Green
Bella Solids Marine
Marmalade Strawberry Jelly
It is a mixed up bunch, but believe it or not, I have a reason for every one of those fabrics purchased! And I can't wait to use them!

Trimmings
I purchased some Trimming from Umbrella Prints about a month ago. I ordered some linen to go with them too.
Then they preceded to sit on my desk looking at me... I opened one of the packs on the weekend and started playing with them.
The colours are just gorgeous!
I haven't finished making my projects yet. I have three projects on the go from just one pack!
I can't wait to share them with you!

Sunday Stash
A few weeks ago I got a scrumptious fabric delivery from Quilt Fabric Delights. In it there was this gorgeous jelly roll of Cuzco by Kate Spain for Moda.
Some gorgeous linen, some pink chevrons and some super super fabulous London Calling by Robert Kaufman.
The chevrons and London Calling are destined to be turned into a quilt and I have already used most of the linen. I'll show you later in the week what I made with it.
Linking up to Sunday Stash at Finding Fifth!

Green fabric goodness
I love fabric mail! And since signing up for the Colour Me Happy FQ Club over at Sew Lux Fabric I am gaureenteed to get some pretty awesome fabric mail every month.
Marches colour was green. Now, although I count green as one of my favourite colours, I don't seem to have much of it in my stash. So this pack has helped me a lot is rounding out my stash.
I can't wait to see what fabrcis arrive next month.

Fabric Love: Color Me Retro
Color Me Retro would have to be my favourite fabric line, well ever! The colours are just gorgeous, the patterns are divine.
I ordered some from Fat Quarter Shop not long ago and it arrived the other day. I also ordered 15 yards of white quilters cotton too. Yes 15 yards, it was cheap and even with postage, still cheaper than I can get it anywhere near here!
And I have a bit of stage fright going and am afraid to cut into them.

Fabric Love
I know I said that I wasn't going to be buying anymore fabric for a while but, well I couldn't pass up on this.
Caden has been requesting a larger size Cat in a Hat quilt for a while, so I am going to try and get one knocked over for him while we are living at my grandparents next month.
But I have to finish Mahli's quilt first...
I just don't seem to be able to finish something before starting something else...

Things I'm Loving
There is one thing that I can tell you for certain this week, that is School Holidays start at 3pm this afternoon and I will be jumping up and down with excitement!
School holidays means no rushing in the morning even though I am up at 5:30am, it means no wrestling a glue stick out of a toddlers hand for the 100th time because he has decided that he wants to smear glue all over the school desks and it also means not have to referee the eldest twos arguments over who gets to get in the car first...
So yes, this week I am certainly loving school holidays!
I am also loving this cute little cushion cover that arrived in the mail.
I bought it from the Curly Pops shop last week.
I am also loving the gorgeous new fabric line from Aneela Hoey, A Walk in the Woods
Mahli asked me to take photos of her the other day, so I am loving this new instalment of the many faces of Mahli.
Ethans' speech is coming along in leaps and bounds. If he can't find someone is the house, he walks around calling out 'Where are you', followed by our names. He says hello and goodbye unprompted. And he is always calling out Muuuuuuuuum, come here!
He has been sitting outside talking to Patch our guinea pig every afternoon too, it is so cute to watch him do it.
So what are you loving this week? Are you looking forward to school holidays or are you dreading them?

A Walk in The Woods
Mahli has been asking me to make her a quilt. She doesn’t actually have a mummy made quilt of her own. But both the boys do, so when I received some charm packs of Aneela Hoey’s new line A walk in the woods, I knew they would be perfect for her quilt.
Now I am toying with the idea of just doing a quick and easy charm squares quilt, but will no doubt look at a gazillion patterns before I decide.
But we layed out all the squares this morning so we could play around with a layout for the quilt top.
I really do love every single one of Aneela Hoey’s fabric lines. In fact my first ever quilt was made from Sherbet Pips!
What do you think of A Walk in the woods? I love its cute, whimsy prints!

My Creative Space- The it's almost Christmas edition
The kids have been begging me to make some Christmas decorations for the past month. We bought some supplies about a fortnight ago, but hadn't made a start on any. That was until yesterday afternoon. I finally got my act together and pulled out any Christmas related fabric I could find and let the kids choose the ones we were going to use.
We decided on making a wreath. I cut the fabric and the kids sorted the piles of fabric as I cut. Then began the kids arguing over what pattern we would go with! Once that was sorted the we started wrapping...
And not 20 minutes later we were finished! Ta Da!!
We are making another one today as we have a double front door.
Have you made any Christmas themed crafts lately?
There is sure to be some Christmas craft linked up over at Our Creative Spaces today! Pop on over and check out all the crafty goodness!

Our Creative Space
It's Thursday again peeps! Already, I hear you groan! Yep this week has flown by (or is that just me???)
But it also means it is time for Our creative space.
I have been attempting to teach myself how to knit different stitches as can be demostrated by these pictures...
See the yellow one, yep, done two rows and gave up, the shades of grey, I am getting there but it is driving me bonkers. I have discovered I can only knit whilst the kids are asleep or else where, I need to concentrate too damn much!
All I was trying to do was make some nice wash cloths to go with teatowel swap... so I gave up and just knitted two squares with a standard knit stitch, ta da!
I have also been playing with fabric and making all sorts of bracelet. The kids keep breaking my cheap beaded costume jewelry so I figured I would make something that they would find hard to break. I have made a fair few braided ones before, but am trying new ways to make them. These are just two of the braided ones, pretty boring, but easy to make and they add some colour to the gloomy winter days we are having.
And the postie was kind was kind to me today too!
I got some Dick, Jane and Sally fabric and will be turning it into a quilt.
Why don't you pop on over and check out all the creative people that are hanging out over here today!
