The week that was

So that's the first week of school holidays over. It went pretty well actually, we did baking on 4 of the days and some craft activities on the other 3. But I barely took photo's of any of it, I was just enjoying the holidays.

On Thursday I did have to head to hospital for a little while to have an iron infusion. It really took it out of me and I ended up sleeping a lot that afternoon. Thankfully the kids seemed to all need a rest too and they slept whilst I slept.

Mahli also lost a top front tooth a little too early... She was playing football with Caden and one rough tackle later she was bleeding and missing a tooth. We couldn't find the tooth in the grass that night, but she found it straight away in the morning.

I also managed to fit in some more crochet and to also finish some pages in my pregnancy mini album.

Let's hope this next week is just as good.

The week that was.

Last week was a very cruisy week. I pottered around the house and did housework, some crochet and received some great parcels in the mail.

And Friday afternoon heralded the start of the school holidays here. The lego has already been broken out, the baking supplies stocked up and the instructions of no noise in the house before 7am have been given (but probably won't be listened too)

Here's hoping for a cruisy week again this week.

The week that was

Last week was a pretty cruisy week. We returned home from holidays (I promise to share more about our trip this week) and settled back slowly into life at home. The kids returned to school and I started getting a little bit more ready for baby.

I played with some new fabric.

We colour coded our loom bands...

Someone finally gave in to their tiredness and slept for 3 hours on Sunday afternoon. She was one cranky 6 year old!

And not to forget the little dude turned FOUR!

See, I told you it was a pretty cruisy week. Not much happened, but some BIG things did!

The week that was...

It was a mixed week last week, with sick kids at home every day last week I spent a lot of time on the couch comforting said sick kids. But I certainly managed to fit in a fair bit of crafting too.

I finished some baby pants and also finished piecing the low volume baby quilt. We ate our first brussels of the season much to the disgust of the kids and my bump grew a bit more...

What did you get up to last week?

Finding Balance

I've haven't blogged here in over a week. I just can't seem to find a balance between life, running the house, helping kids with their homework, my tasks over at And Sew We Craft and everything else in between.

The days are just going so so fast and I am cramming as much as I can into them, but it's just not enough. And at the end of the day I just want to crawl into bed and hope that tomorrow brings some quiet space where I can sit down for a little while and share what is happening here.

And there has been lots happening here! School has well and truly kicked off with a bang, there has been some problems with all three at school and dealing with that has let me feeling like I am banging my head against a brick wall.

Master E's problems seem to be working out and he should see the speechie at school soonish.

Master C's issues are still ongoing and they are probably going to be happening for a while longer too. But we do seem to be moving forward.

And well Miss M has decided that she get shy when having to say her sight words to her teacher and this has resulted in her teacher thinking she doesn't know them when in actual fact she is miles ahead of where her teacher thinks she is. It's frustrating as I don't want her repeating work that she already knows and not moving forward but I also don't want the teacher to think I am fibbing about my childs abilities when Miss M won't show her teacher how well she actually can do.

Anyone have any advice on that?

Week In Review

Wow, last week was a busy one. It was the last week of school holidays, Mahli's birthday and various appointments thrown in too.

I was always on the move and even though the kids go back to school tomorrow I don't think life is going to slow down just yet.

But since I have been neglecting this here blog since last Monday I thought I would sit down and document that week that was in photo's even if some of them are blurry because the kids took them...

How was your week?
