Aladdin was re-realesed on Blue-Ray on March 27 and is in stores now. It would be perfect to entertain the kids these school holidays when you need a moment of peace and quiet!

And  guess what? I am giving away two Aladdin Prize Packs! Yippee!

Cinderella and Geek Charming {a giveaway}

I have been packing a lot of boxes and cleaning a lot of walls in preparation for painting lately. So that means that the kids have been watching a lot of DVD's. Well not a lot, but more than normal. I usually throw them out to the backyard, but Ethan has been getting up to a lot of mischief (like letting the dogs out so they can go for a walk or painting things he shouldn't be!) when I leave him unsupervised for more than 2 seconds. So DVD's it is.

Two of the DVD's they have been watching are Disney's Cinderella and Geek Charming.
They have both been a hit with Mahli and Ethan, Caden doesn't seem too fazed by them, but will watch them is he has too.
I am a Cinderella fan too, I haven't had a chance to watch all of Geek Charming yet, but I am hoping to watch it all soon. I mean it has Sarah Hyland from Modern Family and I love that show, so it can't be too bad, right?!

Oh and there are some great features on the Cinderella disc including the Disney short film, Tangled Ever After.

If you have no idea what Geek Charming is here a quick preview:

It is pretty much what you expect from a Disney Channel movie, and I don't mean that as a bad thing. Embarrassingly, I do enjoy most Disney Channel movies!

And guess what? I have two copies of each DVD to giveaway.

To enter please comment and tell me how you keep your kids entertained and out of mischief whilst you are busy with other tasks.

The giveaway will close at Midnight on Friday the 26th of October 2012 and the two winners notified via a blog post here on MahliMoo, Me and Three and contacted by email.

And not to worry if you don't win, both Geek Charming and Cinderella: The Diamond Edition are available in stores now.

Disclaimer: I received review copies of both movies for the purpose of review. No monetary compensation was offered nor received. All opinions are my own, unless of course they are my children's...

Beauty and The Beast is one of those movies from my childhood that I love watching with my kids. It has been raining a fair bit here lately so we have been indulging in a few to many movies and Beauty and The Beast has certainly been getting a workout.

I have two sets to give away. And not to worry if you don't win, you still have a chance to grab them before they return to the vault!

Disney Junior DVD Pack- Review and Giveaway

Last month the kids were beyond excited to receive not one, but four Disney Junior titles in the mail to review.

The four titles were:
Handy Manny: Manny’s Green Team

Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Yo, Ho, Mateys Away

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Big Concert Band

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: I Heart Minnie

They enjoyed watching each and every one of them. I asked Caden what he thought of them so I could tell people on my blog and he replied, 'Mum, I'm only 5. I can't review things!' and he was adamant that he was just to young to review them. But Mahli piped up and told me they were 'all fabulous' and that she loved every one of them.

Now if you have followed MahliMoo, Me and Three from the beginning you would know that my kids love all things Disney (as do I!) but I thought I would show you just how much Ethan loves Mickey Mouse.

Not only do we have one stuffed Mickey Mouse Toy, but we have two! We also have a talking Mickey as well, but he is MIA at the moment...

Do your kids love Mickey as much as mine? Are you a Disney Lover too?

Do you want a chance to win a 4 pack of Dinsey Junior DVD's featuring the titles listed above?

Simply complete the details in the rafflecopter widget below.

And not to worry if you aren't the lucky winner. All the above titles are available in store now!

War Horse + giveaway

A few weeks ago I was sent War Horse to review, I watched it and have tried to write this review ever since.
I haven't been able to write more than it is an enjoyable movie with a great storyline...

So I guess I will have to leave it at that! Well, I will add that it was a heart warming tale and certainly sad in parts. I did think it was a little long, but that could of been the fact that I had to keep stopping it to get up to Ethan who was sick when I was trying to watch it.

If you haven't heard of War Horse it is the new movie from director Steven Spielberg. It is described as-
" An epic adventure for audiences of all ages. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, "War Horse" begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land.

The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war—a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history".

I have two copies to giveaway to two lucky MahliMoo, Me and Three readers. So if you would like a chance to win one of the two copies simply complete the rafflecopter widget below.

And not to worry if you don't win, War Horse will be released on both DVD and Blu-Ray on May 2nd.

{Review + Giveaway} The Muppets

I am filled with memories of the Muppets from my childhood, of Kermit and Miss Piggy and the gang. I will admit to loving Kermit, he is my favourite through and through. I know, he is the obvious choice and there are so many to choose from, but his sweet little heart has won me over from the get go. Fozzie Bear comes in second for me.

I have tried to get the kids interested in the Muppets for the last few years, but they always seem to get bored with them. So when I was sent the Muppets to review I thought it would be the same deal. But I was suprised that they actually sat through the whole movie, whilst I was the one getting bored...

I don't know what it is but when I watch a movie with Jason Segel I always just view him as Marshall from How I Met Your Mother... even when he starred in I Love You, Man with Paul Rudd. He was still Marshall to me!

Anyhow Caden and Mahli both told me they liked it and have watched it twice now. Caden said he likes it best when they since and that the frog is his favourite.
Mahli liked the singing the best too and her favourite is Miss Piggy.

If you have no idea what this new The Muppets movie is all about is it a reunion show of sorts after they all band together to try and save the theatre from a greedy oil tycoon. But will they be able to raise enough money and save The Muppet Theatre in time??

You have a chance to find out by winning one of two copies of The Muppets on DVD here on the blog Simply complete the RaffleCopter widget below for your chance to win.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
And never fear! If you don't win, The Muppets is available for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD from May 9th.

Disclaimer: I was sent a copy of The Muppets for the purpose of review. No money was offered or received for this post. All opinions are my own, or my children's in some instances.

Lion King 2 & 3 + a giveaway!

I was 9 when The Lion King was first released in 1994. I remember watching it over and over again with my baby cousin and as soon as I hear words Hakuna Matata my head is taken back to good old Timon and Pumba and the original Lion King.

Now that The Lion King 2- Simba's Pride and The Lion King 3 are being released on DVD and Blu-Ray and they are getting on my kids radars I am taken back to Hakuna Matata and the glory of The Lion King all over again.

And not to forget Sir Elton Johns music magic

Now I really don't think anything can top the first Lion King for me, but 2 and 3 come pretty close.

Complete Simba’s journey with The Lion King 2, a film for the entire family. Experience the power of “Upendi”—which means “love” – as Kiara, Simba’s strong-willed daughter, seeks adventure away from her father’s watchful gaze. Timon and Pumbaa can do only so much to protect her, especially when she encounters an intriguing rival, Kovu, a cub who is being groomed to lead Scar’s pride. As Kiara and Kovu search for their proper places in the great “Circle Of Life,” they discover that it may be their destiny to reunite their prides and bring peace to the Pride Lands.

The Lion King 3 will take you waaay back to the beginning, before Simba’s story began. From their uniquely hysterical perspective, Timon and his windy pal Pumbaa—the greatest unsung heroes of the savanna—reveal where they came from, how they helped Simba save the Serengeti and what really happened behind the scenes of The Lion King’s biggest events.
My kids have been enjoying The Lion King 2 and 3 over the last few days and now your kids can too! I have 2 Blu-ray copies of each to giveaway. So two lucky MahliMoo, Me and Three readers will receive a copy of The Lion Kind 2 and 3 on Blu-ray just in time for the Easter school holidays.

To enter simply complete the rafflecopter widget below.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

And not to worry if you aren't one of the lucky winners. The Lion King 2- Simba's Pride and The Lion King 3 will be available on both Blu-ray and DVD on April 4th 2012.

The Help

I read the novel version of The Help last year. After reading it I was hesitant to watch the movie because well, I seem to always get disappointed with the movie versions. Fast forward to last month and I was asked to review the DVD. I said yes and then waited for the disappointment to set in and whilst I was a tad disappointed with a few details, I still really enjoyed the movie. There were parts that I would have like to see included, but the main points are all there. Not to mention the infamous Chocolate Pie scene!
If you aren't familiar with the storyline, The Help is set in Mississippi during the 1960s, Skeeter (played by Emma Stone) is a southern society girl who returns from college with her heart and mind set on becoming a writing. This dream turns her friends' lives and their Mississippi town upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. Aibileen , Skeeter's best friend's housekeeper, is the first to open up, much to the dismay of her friends in the tight-knit black community. Despite Skeeter's life-long friendships hanging in the balance, she and Aibileen continue their collaboration and soon more women come forward to tell their stories, and as it turns out, they have a lot to say. Along the way, unlikely friendships are forged and a new sisterhood emerges, but not before everyone in town has a thing or two to say themselves when they become unwittingly -- and unwillingly -- caught up in the changing time.

Emma Stone is fabulous as Skeeter, Octavia Spencer is hilarious as Minny. There really isn't one character I can fault. They all were fabulous. And if you are a  Private Practice fan then you will love Stuart, well until you don't... But you will have to watch the movie to find out why.

The Help went on Sale on February 8, 2012 and it really is a must for your DVD/Blu Ray collection.

Have you seen the Help? Do you love it like I did?

Disclaimer: I received a copy of The Help for the purpose of review. No money was offered or received for this post. All opinions are my own.

Review and Giveaway: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Numbers Roundup

A short while ago we received some DVD's in the mail to review, one of them was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Numbers Roundup.

Now if you are a long time reader of MahliMoo, Me and Three you would know that my kids are diehard Mickey fans. A Mickey DVD will silence them long enough for me to hang out the washing in piece or have a shower without one of them joining me.

So really, I am a diehard Mickey fan too. When I asked Caden what he liked about the  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Numbers Roundup DVD he told me : 'I liked that they were Cowboys, I like cowboys.'

See you can't seem to lose if you make a kids TV show that involves Cowboys.

The blurb about this DVD describes it as:

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Numbers Roundup
Giddy-up partners! Mickey, Minnie, Donald and the gang want you to join them for an action-packed Western adventure you can ‘count’ on in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Numbers Roundup.

Grab your lassos and help all your Clubhouse pals as they wrangle a boisterous herd of wild numbers into Mickey Corral and laugh it up as you rustle the right mousketools needed to catch the rascally new friends!

But don’t forget to pack your thinking cap with your cowboy hat because the gang will need your smarts to find Daisy Bo Peep’s lost shoe, crack a secret message code and solve more super-fun puzzles!

This DVD also includes an episode of Little Einsteins.

And the really good news, I have one copy to give away! To enter tell me what was your favourite tv show as a child. Be sure to complete the details in the Rafflecopter widget for your entry to count!

Disclaimer: I received a reveiw copy of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Numbers Roundup. No money was offered or received for this post. All opinions are my own... and Cadens!

CLOSED {Review & Giveaway} Handy Manny: Big Construction Job

My kids love this blogging caper. They get to see pictures and movies of themselves on the computer. They get cool stuff from the postie and I let them watch movies on a week night, all in the name of blogging.

When I told them we had a new Handy Manny DVD that was as long as a movie they got excited. We settled in with popcorn and enjoyed the show.

This movie length episode sees Manny leave Sheetrock Hills to head to the big city of Concrete Falls to help with, yep you guessed it, a big construction job.

With Manny and the tools out of action in Sheetrock Hills it leaves the door wide open for Mr Lopart to show of his handy man expertise... or lack there of!

Can Kelly succeed in getting Manny to return to Sheetrock Hills or will they wave goodbye to their favourite Handy Man forever?

You will just have to watch it to find out now wont you!

Oh and did I mention you can also get a fix of Mickey too? No, well you can as there is a Bonus ep of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Donald of the Desert.

Party Time

We are all partied out here for 2011, well for kids birthdays anyhow! All three kids have had their birthdays for 2011 and well I am relieved let me tell you. Kids birthday parties sure are a lot of work! But I enjoy planning them and defiantly enjoy watching the kids enjoy themselves on the day.

Caden had requested a Cars party for his birthday and  not just any type of Cars party, but a Disney/Pixar version. So off I went to Pinterest and pinned away for weeks. Then we started putting everything together slowly and surely. I had grander plans then what actually happened as we ran out of time, but the day was still fab and everyone (I think) enjoyed them selves.

I didn't get photo's of everything though as I had planned to take photo's after everyone had left also but we had a thunderstorm roll through so everything got packed up quick smart before it bucketed down.

Next year I am hoping he requests a lego themed party! I have already started pinning for that one!

Do you go all out for kids birthday parties? Are you your own worst enemy when it comes to the planning of them? Do you create more work for yourself like I do???

CLOSED {Review & Giveaway} Disney Juniors Handy Manny- Movie Night

I have told you before that my kids LOVE Disney Junior and another saviour to our recent road tripping sanity was the addition of Disney Juniors Handy Manny- Movie Night to our DVD Collection.
It was on high rotation on our recent holidays where we racked up just under 5,000kms... that is A LOT of driving let me tell you.

Caden has recently told me that we are missing a few of the tools. You see we only have Rusty, Felipe, Turner and Squeeze. He has asked that Dusty, Rusty and Stretch come live with us too... But you know what is really sad about all this. I know exactly which tools he is talking about! Me thinks, we have been watching to much Handy Manny!

Have you met Manny yet? Well he is all about saving the day for the people of Sheetrock Hills and this DVD is no different-

Popcorn? Check! Movie? Check! Broken Projector? Uh-oh! When the whole town of Sheetrock Hills gathers for a fun-filled movie night, they don’t expect their only projector to break down in the middle of the film. It’s our favourite handyman Manny Garcia to the rescue but when Manny reveals that the problem will take some time to solve, it’s up to his mismatched talking tools to keep the crowd entertained while he gets to work.
Proving that sometimes the warm-up act is even better than the main attraction and that everyone has a special talent that makes them a star, the latest Handy Manny instalment will make you laugh and warm your heart.

A bonus episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is also included on the DVD.

Anyhow, thanks to the lovely folks at Porter Novelli and Disney Junior, I have one copy of Handy Manny- Movie night to give away.

CLOSED {Review and Giveaway} Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Super Silly Adventures

Just before we left for holidays the lovely folks at Porter Novelli asked if we would like to review Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Super Silly Adventures . I said 'YES PLEASE' straight away as one of B's work mates lent us a DVD player for the car and I wanted some fresh material to keep the kids entertained on our LONG journey.

In Super Silly Adventures you join Mickey and his pals on their most hilarious adventure ever!
Pluto’s bouncy ball kicks off the excitement when it accidentally hits the ‘Silly Switch’, and out of nowhere Mickey finds the only words coming out of his mouth are in rhyme, Pluto begins mooing like a cow, rubber duckies float through the air, and the Handy Helpers boot everyone out of the Clubhouse!
Mickey needs your help and the right Mouseketools to solve this SILLY problem – you even get the chance to make Goofy become a superhero!

Demonstrating that no problem is too silly to get your pals to help with, there’s a world of wacky fun-filled surprises waiting for you with this DVD!

It also features a bonus episode of Handy Manny: Felipe’s Hiccups

Super Silly Adventures was a godsend for a lot of our trip down here. It quietened Ethan on occasion as he had enough of his car seat and wanted to try out his new found skill of walking! Yes, the kids finally decided to walk the day before we left on our trip! And as always Mickey and Co is a winner with Caden and Mahli. The down side was the theme song being stuck in my head for a very long time as their screens were on the back of the headrests!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Super Silly Adventures will be available in stores on September 14th, but I am also giveaway a copy to one lucky reader.

To enter simply comment on this post. You can tell me anything, but I would love to hear about any road trips you have taken?
For extra entries feel free to tweet and share on facebook. Please tag with @MahliMoo on both so I can keep track.
And remember to comment back here to tell me that you tweeted or shared on facebook.

Entries will close on Thursday 15th of September 2011 and will be drawn on Friday 16th of September 2011 via random.org.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Super Silly Adventures from Porter Novelli for the purpose of review. No monetary compensation was offered, nor received for this review. All opinions and words are my own.

Party Planner: Cars 2 Party for Caden

Caden is turning 5 next month and has requested a Cars 2 party. No surprises there as he is in love with anything Cars related (or Disney really).

We scored a really good deal on a Cars themed jumping castle for the day.

We have printed our own Cars invitations to keep the costs down.

I also have some paper carry bags that I will be using for the party bags and we are going to decorate them with Cars stickers. I am not 100% sure of what is going to go into the party bags, but I know it wont be tonnes of lollies. Depending on the party size I might put in a small crayon or pencil roll each. The girls can also have some head bands too.

Caden has also requested that his friends play pretend fishing at his party. So we will have the small claim shell set up with these 'fishing packs' we picked p from the reject shop for $4.

The one thing I really have no idea what to do with is the cake. Caden has requested a Tow Mater cake... I am petrified of that one. I have no idea how I would do it or what I will use for it. Do you have any ideas for me? Have you perhaps made a Mater cake before?? Please someone say yes! I need all the help I can get with this one.

What do you do for your kids birthdays?
