Puppies, Puppies, Puppies + giveaway

Zhu Zhu Puppies, you either love them or hate them. Unlucky for me, my kids love them beyond belief. Miss Mahli received them by the bucket load for her 4th birthday so I admitted defeat around early February this year. It has worked out okay really. There are rules though!

For instance no Zhu Zhu Pet or Puppies is allowed admission into Mummy and Daddy's bedroom- This rule came about after one started chirping and squeaking under our bed at around 1am one morning. Now, we have an ensemble so it wasn't exactly easy to get out...

They are also not allowed in the kitchen and have to be put away properly at the end of playing with them, i.e. in their designated tub.

The Secret Life of Bees

I finally got my reading mojo back and finished The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. It was the book recommend by Lyns as apart of Mrs Readalots Book Club.

I loved this book, it was sweet, eccentric, funny and sad. It follows the life of Lily, a young girl who has grown up without her mother and lives with a harsh and unforgiving father. She has only one friend, Rosaleen, a black servant. It follows their journey over on Summer after racial tension explodes and Rosaleen is arrested.

I don't like giving away to much of a story line when I write about a book, so I just wanted to say you have to read it!

I loved this book so much that I want to share it with you so I am giving away one copy! I will also be giving away one copy of The Book Thief seeing as I loved it just as much as this one.
