Meet Gus!
We welcomed Gus into our family on Tuesday. I know a few weeks ago we said we were going to call him either Scout or Harry. But after Angus passed B suggested that we call him Gus. So Gus it is!
He is an 8 week old Mini Lop and he is oh so little, but oh so cute.
Nothing seems to worry him. The kids loudness is ignored. He is not fussed by our roomba vacuum. And our other pets leave him curious but not scared.
Bella is a bit unsure of him, but is only showing signs of interest and no ill will.
He is as fast as he is curiosu, so photo's of him roaming the house are hard to capture! We are completely new to rabbits so any pointers on litter training or keeping a house rabbit successfully would be greatly appreciated.
Do you have any pets?

The Zoo
Since Angus passed away last week, I noticed that I really don't take enough photo's of our pets and that I haven't properly introduced them here on the blog.
So I want to do just that now. Our pets are a huge part of our life and they should totally be shared here more.
So apologies if you are not an animal person...
Meet Shadow, he is Caden's cat and is 4.5 years old.
And Sophie, she is a seal point ragdoll and is 'my cat'.
And here is Ollie, he is a blue lynx point ragdoll and is 'Mahli's cat'.
I can't seem to find any photo's of Boots our blue point ragdoll. And he is currently sleeping with B who is on nightshift so they will have to be shared another day.
And not to forget Bella Girl!
She has been sleeping a lot lately...
Do you have any pets? Are you a dog or a cat person? Or both? As you can probably tell, I love both dogs and cats.

Getting there...
Since Friday's news things have been slow here. Bella has been by my side non stop since then and we have been giving her as much love as possible.
She is not well either, she has an injury to a knee and also some swelling of her spleen, but with medication seems to be recovering nicely.
The kids are dealing with the news okay, we have had some tears on and off over the weekend. But they are talking about Angus freely and remembering fun things they did together.
It will just take us a while to adjust to not having him in our lives anymore.
Have you suffered the loss of a pet? How did you deal with it?

Tears
There are tears flowing here today. Our beautiful black Labrador Angus has left us and I am just to sad for words.
Both our dogs got out of our yard yesterday morning and I spent all day looking for them. At about 5pm last night I received word that Bella had been found a few streets over from us, but that Angus was nowhere to be seen. It turns out that he was hit by a train and had to be humanly euthanised on site. They think he broke his back.
I can't believe he is gone and I feel so sad for Bella too. They have been inseparable since we bought Angus home 5 years ago. She just looks so sad.
I haven't told the big kids yet as I found out after they were at school. B is in Perth until tonight too.
Sorry that this is all disjointed, that is just how I am feeling at the moment...

Meet Scout
Or Harry... The kids are currently arguing over what his name will be.
Caden loves the name Scout, whilst Mahli is really pushing for the name Harry.
He is a little Mini Lop Rabbit that will be joining our family in about 4 weeks and it is going to be a LOOOOONG 4 weeks let me tell you!
The kids are going crazy with excitement.
He will be our first ever rabbit, so if you have a rabbit or have ever had one, please share some tips with us. He will be an inside pet and will be allowed to free range when supervised.
*photos are from the breeder.

Quilted Mat Sew A Long with Sew Delicious {Part 2}
Today Ros shared how to baste and quilt our mats.
I skipped ahead and did this yesterday...
I had a bit of 'spare time' so thought I might as well get cracking on it!
Next up is binding!
And I just had to share this photo of Sophie. She was looking right at me so I grabbed the camera and every time I went to take a photo the cheeky thing looked away. I swear she has more attitude than a teenager!
Are you taking part in the mat sew a long?

Totally Pinworthy Linky Party
I logged onto pinterest last night and the first pin I see was this-
It made me sad simply because when we move to WA we can't take all our pets with us. The one that we are leaving behind is our miniature dachshund, Remy.
He will be living with my Grandparents when we move. We have told the kids and they aren't happy, but we thought it was best. You see we have three dogs, two labs and Remy. And we can only have two dogs where we are moving too. The only family we could give any of the dogs to are my grandparents and the labs are just to full on for them. So Remy was our only option. We will still get to see him when we come back to visit and I know they will look after him well. But it still makes me sad...
Happy Pinning!
P.S Totally Pinworthy will be having a holiday next Sunday and will return again on the 4th of November. I have to work next weekend and our house is getting packed up on Monday/Tuesday plus B flys over to WA that week so I will be way to because to give the linky the attention it deserves that week. I hope to see you all back here on the 4th of November!

So anyway have you:
- posted about your favourite pins from Pinterest for the week, then link it up!
- posted a post that you would love others to pin to Pinterest, then link it up!
- If you have done both, well link them both up!
Let's get into it!
The rules or guidelines as such are all the same as what they were over at Tina's and if you aren't familiar with them they are:
- Grab the button (from above) and add it to your post and/or your sidebar. Because it’s good karma. A little link love didn’t hurt anyone. And the more people who see the button, the more that might join in and the more traffic we will get – hopefully.
- Add your blog link to the linky below – so other Pinners can come visit you and “pin it” to their Pinterest boards.
- Visit some of the other links, give some comment love and pin as many of the posts as you have time to do.
- If you are linking up a 'pinnable' post, please make sure that it is actually suitable for Pinterest. Please don't just link up a random post.
Happy Pinning!
