Sun and Sand, plus some random thoughts
Just before Christmas we took off to the coast to recharge and enjoy some sun, sand and sea.
It was just what we needed and everyone had a great time.
But now that Christmas is over and we are approaching a new year I've been wondering about what I should do with this here blog. You see I spend most of my blogging time and energy over at And Sew We Craft and have kind of just left this blog to it's own devices for the whole of 2015. I'm not sure what direction I want to take it in. Do I just share family life here and leave all my crafting for ASWC? But how much of my family life do I want to share? Do I want to share more about Darcy's development as he enters toddlerdom?
I really have no idea but hopefully I figure it out soon. In the meantime I'm just going to enjoy the school holidays with my kids and take it slow.
See you in 2016!

Sand, Sea and Emus- Lots and lots of Emus!
Beware: Photo OVERLOAD!
Last week we got a way for a nice break to Exmouth. We've been there before and it's a nice short drive for us compared to most other places we get to. And even though we've been there before we STILL haven't seen everything that there is to see there. This trip we checked out Turquoise Bay, The Turtle Center, The Lighthouse (again), Learmonth Jetty to go fishing, Bundegi Beach (B went fishing and the kids and I swam) and the water park.
We only had 4 days so we tried to fit as much in as we could without making us all exhausted. We also spent a fair bit of time at the caravan park pool. The kids love the caravan park we stay at and so do I! It's nice and central, the pool is great and it also has a restaurant!
And now we are trying to decide if we go back to Exmouth for the Christmas school holidays or head over to Coral Bay. It's a tough choice ;)

{Getting Around} Monkey Mia 2015
WARNING: This post is EXTREMELY photo heavy!
Last week we ventured to Monkey Mia for a few nights in the caravan, the first two days were cold and wet, but that didn't stop the kids swimming. Pilbara kids NEVER pass up an opportunity to get in the water when we are away.
But the last two days were beautiful and warm, perfect swimming weather! Well at least for the kids, the water was still too cold for me.
Monkey Mia is a beautiful place, even if the dolphin interaction is a bit too hyped up for my liking. We seen more dolphins just out the front of our caravan then we did at the interaction. There was no chance for photo's of them, but we seen up to 6 dolphins swim less than a meter away from us. The kids couldn't believe their luck.
And now they are asking when we are going back again... We will go back, but I'm not looking forward to the drive. It was LONG.
