{Review and Giveaway} tommee tippee® closer to nature® Express and Go

This post is brought to you in collaboration with Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature and Kids Business.

I've been breastfeeding Darcy now for just over a year, and whilst I could just transition him to cow's milk I would prefer not to and for a while there he was refusing bottles of expressed milk completely and would only feed from me, but now he will happily take a bottle from B and this allows me to have a bit of a sleep in occasionally or to go out at night without worry about him missing a feed.

We recently received the tommee tippee closer to nature Express and Go system and have been trailing it for a few weeks now.

I love that it comes with adaptors so that the pouches can be used with my Medela breast pump. It also can fit Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature, Ameda, Evenflo, Lansinoh, Philips Avent pumps.

The storage case fits perfectly in my freezer and I'm no longer worried about people moving my expressed milk on me or leaving it out of the fridge/freezer.

And well the bottle warmer is just a lifesaver when I've decided to go out at the last minute and B's got now defrosted breast milk to for Darcy. I've never used a bottle warmer before and let me tell you, I'm kicking myself right now! All those years of sitting and waiting while a bottle heats in a bowl of hot water that you had to boil the jug to get could have been prevented. Or even those phone calls from B asking how to heat or defrost frozen breast milk.

The bottle warmer is really easy to use and comes with really clear instructions.

And the sterilised pouches not only have adapters for a range of breast pumps, but they also come with a breast milk pouch bottle (pictured below)

And now for the the giveaway!

One lucky reader has the chance to win a Breast Milk Starter set valued at $44.99 (pictured below).

{Review} Dyson Spring Cleaning Challenge

If you have been hanging around these parts for a while you would know that I have a lot of pets and a moderate amount of children... and well both those factors means that I vacuum A LOT.

So when I was offered a chance to trial not one but two different Dyson Vacuums I jumped at the chance. The vacs we trialled were Dysons new DC59 & DC54.

Over the past 2 weeks everyone has had a go with the vacuums, even Ethan!

Now, some of you may remember that we do have robotic vacuums in this house. And yes I do use them daily. But they still don't replace a good hand held vacuum, especially with the above mentioned pets and kids. Throw in the fact that we live in the land of the red dirt and well, dirt, dust and hair accumulates pretty fast on our floors and skirting boards. Not to mention under our lounge and in the cushions.

I was surprised at just how much the DC59 picked up as it was whizzed around the house.

Now for the technical details:

Dyson Digital Slim (DC59):

·         The latest Dyson Digital Slim™ DC59 vacuum is lightweight, cordless, and packs the same power as a mains vacuum cleaner. RRP $649 for the Animal model and $599 for the Multi floor. Find the new Dyson Digital Slim at www.Dyson.com.au
 Dyson Cinetic (DC54)

·         The Dyson Cinetic™ is the only machine with no bags, no loss of suction, and no filter fuss. RRP: DC54 Animal Pro (RRP$1099), DC54 Animal (RRP$999), DC54 Allergy (RRP$899), DC54 Multi floor (RRP$799). Find the new Dyson Cinetic™ at www.Dyson.com.au

Dyson is giving one of my readers a chance to trial the DC59 and another reader a chance to trial a DC54.

    Below are the details:

One reader has the chance to trial the Digital Slim DC59  for 2 weeks. And if after the trial you wish to purchase the DC59 provided in trial, a 20% discount will be available to you.

One reader  has the to trial Digital Cinetic DC54 for 2 weeks.  And after the trial if you wish to purchase DC54 a 20% discount will be available to you.

All you have to do is answer this question:

“What problem do you want Dyson engineers to solve in your home?”

The most creative answer will have the opportunity to trial the product.

Entries close on the 25th of November 2013. Please let me know which model you would like to try in the comments.

{Giveaway} Disney's Aladdin

Aladdin is a movie I remember fondly from my childhood, and one the I wanted the kids to love too. And they certainly do. I only introduced them to Aladdin a few weeks ago and they have requested that it be one of the movies that I pack in the car for our road trip.

Aladdin was re-realesed on Blue-Ray on March 27 and is in stores now. It would be perfect to entertain the kids these school holidays when you need a moment of peace and quiet!

And  guess what? I am giving away two Aladdin Prize Packs! Yippee!

To enter simply complete the rafflecopter details below

I was given a copy of Disney's Aladdin for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own.

{Review and Giveaway} Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium

For the past week I have been trying out Office 365 Home Premium and I have been trying to find ways to use it to make my life a little easier around the house.

So far I have found a few:

I have started creating recipe cards for all of my recipes so they are easy for me to grab and refer to when I am baking. I currently use a notebook with jotted down recipes or bookmark them online. But bookmarking doesn't always work as we regularly lose Internet here.

But if you want to go totally paperless with your recipes there is an excellent Excel template that would be perfect!

And if you have ambitions of writing your own cook book, well Publisher has a template for that!
I am also working on a new chore chart for kids but there are some great templates available too.
Here is one from Excel:

And if you are in need of some rewards charts, well they are super easy to make. I used a Calendar template to make one for the kids to keep their room clean, they seem to go crazy for rewards chart, so fingers crossed this works.

We are still negotiating their rewards though.

Something I have noticed with the new Office 365 is that there are a tonne of free templates and the search function is a lot more user friendly. I was just playing around and searching for random things that popped into my head and I came across some really great educational resources for the kids.

Mahli is just starting to learn her sight words so I am sure these templates will come in handy.

I am still working my way around Office 365, so can't offer much more info at this stage but for loads of ideas on how to get the most out of Office 365 be sure to check out www.timeto365.com

And guess what?! I have 5 x Office 365 Home Premium 12-month subscriptions (valued at $119 each) to giveaway and for your chance to win all you need to do is tell me your #OMGTips for using technology to save time and/or make life easier.

The giveaway will run until 12 midnight, 20th of April 2013 (GMT +8) and the winner will be notified via email on the 21st of April. So please make sure I am able to find your email address.

I have received a complimentary subscription to facilitate this review. However, Digital Parents Collective covered the administration fee to host the giveaway. As always, all opinions expressed are purely my own.
