Four.

Yesterday Ethan turned four. FOUR! How on earth did that happen?

He has thrown us many curve balls this year, things I haven't shared here on the blog because I don't want him to be labelled, but we have many challenges coming our way in the next few years with him to get him to where he needs to be.

But anyway, he's four and he is super proud to tell people about that fact. He is one ninja turtle obsessed kid so that's what he ended up getting for his birthday. And he was stoked.

And we followed it up with a Leonardo cake.

Overall I think it was the best fourth birthday for the best four year old I know!

Three.

Ethan turned three yesterday. THREE! And boy did he love all the attention. He is my little poser with the most descriptive facial expressions you will ever see.

We weren't going to have a birthday party for him but Caden and Mahli just didn't like the sound of that and told me that we HAD to.

So we invited 4 of their friends over and had cake. There were some lollies and chips to make it more like a party, as per Caden and Mahli's request.

And even thought the 'party' was small, they all had a lot of fun.

Poser

I just had to share these photo's. Ethan and I have been having a bit of a struggle with each other lately. He is testing my boundaries and I am sure I am frustrating him too.

But we seem to be turning a corner.

I mean how can that face not make you smile?

Ethan- Chief Mischief Maker

I was warned about 'third children' repeatedly when I was pregnant with Ethan. I was constantly told that they are the most determined and mischievous children out and well I didn't think much of it at the time. I had other things to worry about like that fact that he was high risk for down syndrome (thankfully he was born perfectly healthy). But looking back, maybe I should have listened, because let me tell you, he is the chief mischief maker in this house.

He is full of wild determination and has a devil may care attitude. He provides us with hours of laughter with his wild ideas. Even though he gives me 50 million heart attacks a day*.

Here is a prime example of him being up to do good- he thought it would be a fantastic idea to jump in front of Caden while he was riding his bike!

Do you believe the third child stereotype?

*this may be a slight over exaggeration!

It's my blog

so I will overload you with photos of my kids if I want too!

These were all taken while spending some time at my Grandparents house. The kids love visiting them, even thought at times it seems that they are only there to raid the biscuit jar!

I know I have been posting a lot of photo's lately. I think it is a combination of a few things that is making me do it. I have some big news that I am not allowed to share yet AND I finally picked up my camera after a month of taking practically no photos.

Please let me indulge in sharing a gazillion photos of my children. I promise the numbers will be reduced greatly in the coming weeks when I can share all my news.... and NO, I'm not pregnant.

I am linking up with Jess for IBOT

Cough cough cough

That is all this little guy has been doing the last few days. Monday night seen us get less than 4 hours sleep because of it. Last night was better but we are all still so tired from it.
He can't have a nap in his room because next door is building a patio right outside his bedroom window, so he fell asleep on the lounge.

Fingers crossed he stays that way for a while.
