Weekending...
We headed north this weekend to celebrate one of B's cousins 21st birthday. We did the same trip last year and went up Saturday morning and came home Sunday morning, it was HELL, so this time we decided to go Friday afternoon and have two nights at one of B's Aunties houses. The kids had a ball! And we both enjoyed watching them play with some extended family that they hardly ever see.
The party itself was just gorgeous. The decorations were fantastic and well I think there were more decorations than we had at our wedding!
The trip home was painful though. I am so sick of the whole 'Are we there yet?' and the various sentences to that effect!
All in all we had a fantastic weekend and I think we need to do it more often!
How was your weekend?

Another weekend bites the dust
The weekend just gone was a pretty damn good one even though I woke up on Saturday morning and puked my guts up and then still made it to the 8am footy game to watch Caden. I am so glad I made it because he scored his first try AND got player of the match. I didn't managed to get a photo of any of it though because of the previously mention puking. I was trying mighty hard to keep the contents of my stomach down.
Then we had to do some shopping for Ethan's birthday which is next week! He will be TWO. TWO! How did that happen? Caden and Mahli are beyond excited about his birthday and were mighty miffed when I told them that we wouldn't be having a party, just cake and dinner with family. Caden told me that every onedeserves a party, I told him he is still having a party, just a small one. That seemed to settle him down.
Sunday was spent on the couch, I was (and still am) feeling sorry for myself and decided a movie day it would be. B had other plans and spent it on the roof fixing(finishing) our back patio. Caden and Mahli begged me to help them make some necklaces with beads. Who am I to say no to some crafting, so we made a few necklaces with their names on them.
It was a quiet weekend spent just with our little family and it was just what we all needed.

Weekend in iPhone photos...
WARNING- photo overload!
I think we all need a rest after our weekend. We spent a lot of time outside and travelling around our local area. We visited our local version of a farmers market complete with jumping castle for the kids, stopped by the local road side fruit and vege markets, did some grocery shopping, B got to work on our patio extension that has been a work in progress for 2 years, yes 2 YEARS. Caden built a bird feeder for the garden with a little help from us, and I found a new use for our old ikea expedit desk top, more on that tomorrow though!

Our Weekend in iPhone photos
B was on days off all weekend, which we all enjoyed as he has been doing weekends for the last month.
So we started the weekend off with a family outing to the kindy markets.
After the market we had to traipse into town to buy a present for a birthday party on Sunday. No photos though as it included a meltdown in the toy section of Big W. I blame my mother and brohter for ALWAYS buying the kids something when they go there...
On Sunday Caden and B headed of to a birthday party in the morning, while I got the awesomely fun job of cleaning the house! Oh and Ethan though he would try balancing his toast on his head...
Then we headed into town AGAIN for a trip to Lincraft and Bunnings. I stocked up on some craft supplies so I can finally get into some project I have been wanting to do and to also stop the kids nagging about making Christmas decorations.
And the kids couldn't wait to break out the craft stuff when we got home...
Stay tuned later in the week to see what we get up to with all the craft stuff. I am planning on making some subway style art too. Have already put a base coat on the mdf, so hopefully I should have them finished by Friday.
