Spring Is In The Air
I love Spring, it is my most favourite season of all. The weather is glorious, there are flowers upon flowers in bloom and my most favourite colours are everywhere to be seen.
Spring to me is bright, colourful and vibrant. And this quick charm square quilt I made for my Aunty a few weeks ago screams spring to me!
I used a 1.5 charm packs of twirl to put it together and backed it with some dots from Riley Blake. I can't remember exactly what they are called because they have been in my stash for a long long time. They were bought to be used as a lining to a jacket that I never got around to making Mahli, oops!
And for the first time ever I used a white binding. I have been wanting to try white as a binding for a while and I think it works with this charm quilt well.
The patterns in the fabrics are extremely busy so I think it helps to calm it down.
I am working on another quilt at the moment that screams Spring to me too. Hopefully I'll be able to share it soon!
What do you think of when you think of Spring?
I'm linking up with the Spring has Sprung 2013 blog tour, celebrating Spring in Australia. You can check out all of the other projects and bloggers who are taking part.
