Amy, lovely blog. However, I found your URL on the Blogger problem page. Apologies for 'hijacking' your blog to ask a question, but did you get a statement on dashboard saying 'you are not the author of any blogs' when you logged on? This has just happened to me and as I'm a relatively new blogger - about textiles,- I have NO IDEA what to do and the help pages are ....erm...not helpful!
Would you mind very much taking a minute to answer - and again, apologies for posting this in your comments. You know that moment of panic whe it happened? That's where I'm at now! Or did you just get a blank page? I tell you, this thing is a mine field!
Sorry to hear that this has happened to you! I went to log in yesterday morning and I had a notice telling me that suspicious activity had been noted on my account to I had to get a verification code sent to me to gain access back to my account and then when I logged in I had the 'you are not the author of any blogs' and I tried to access my blog and it came up with blog cannot be found.
I still haven't heard anything from google, but after about 1 hour from logging my problem on the google help boards my blog was back up.
I hope you can gain access back to your blog ASAP! It feels horrible to 'lose' it!
Amy, thank the Lord it's back! No idea what happened, but within 3 hours there it was back again. Phew. Perhaps if it happens again I won't panic so much. However, many of us 'bloggers' are women with very little technical IT knowledge, and whilst we can tootle along happily when evrything is straightforward, the smallest hiccup can send the blood-pressure rocketing, and the problems seem unsurmountable. I certainly spent most of those 3 hours trying everything they told me - to no avail. Not impressed by the 'help' tools at all!
Anyway, thank you so much for responding. I hope neither of us have this problem again. By the way if you are into textiles, pop across and have a look at my blog - it's very, very new and I am realy struggling, but I will conquer it!
Amy I nearly did an Easter Etsy post myself! How I LOVE Etsy, so much talent out there. All the pics are just gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteI know, I love etsy! I could spend hours on there just 'window shopping'!
