My almost 5 year old has both a receptive and expressive language disorder so early literacy and numeracy can be a challenge for him. He currently is struggling to remember the numbers 17 and 18 when counting to 20. It has us all stumped though because he has place values in the current spots when counting up to 40 and sometimes 50. So we have no idea why he misses them in the teens.
So I've made up a quick printable to get him more familiar with the number 1-20 in the hope that the sequence of numbers will somehow stick.
I've laminated it and it just sits on our craft area so he can pick it up and do it when HE wants too. I don't make him do it and I try to keep it fun.
You can download a copy from here if you think it might come in handy for your kids: http://www.andsewwecraft.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/1-20-dot-numbers.pages
Great idea!
