  1. I would love to spend Mother's Day in bed, having served breakfast, no chores, just relaxing all day reading!

  2. I would love to spend mother's day surrounded by my large family (including my adult kids), being spoilt and spending time with them. I'd also love just one day off housework and nappy duties :)

  3. I'd love to have my kids bring me all their beautiful handmade works of art, then go out to my favourite Greek restaurant for lunch, followed by a family movie-thon at home and a block of my favourite chocolate

  4. I'd love a sleep-in and a decent meal with my family uninterrupted by morning sickness. I know a good vegan restaurant, just been waiting for someone to take me. Given that I didn't turn vegetarian by choice... is that too much to ask?

  5. I would love all my kids to come jump on me in bed, shower me with hand made cards and gifts and cuddles and kisses, then spend the day browsing the shops, eating great food and spending time with my Mum and Gran.

  8. I just want to be left alone on Mother's Day. Not everyone going somewhere else, just not demanding of me every few seconds for one day would be fabulous.

So if they could get up without banging every door and cupboard in the house, make breakfast, watch some tv, go for a walk, whatever - just without making a huge song and dance about it and bothering me about it. And letting me do what I want without any fuss. That would be nice!

(I know I'm dreaming, I try to get this idea across to my other half EVERY DAMN YEAR but instead i generally get kids in my bed at 5am handing me happy mother's day cards and bouncing on my head while he whines about how tired he is. So I should probably put the knives away the night before....)

  16. I'd truly love to spend Mother's Day with my children and husband, without I wouldn't be a mother, my own Mum and Mother in law, two of the most precious Angels on this Earth and of course my immediate family too. That's it, they all fill my heart with love and that's enough for me :)
