But the woe part comes in after dealing with a very very screamy (it so is a word!) Ethan this afternoon. That boy knows how to use his lungs when he wants to demand something.
Couple his demanding toddler behaviour with more test results back today and my head is in overdrive. The diagnoses of PCOS has been confirmed, but I don't feel relief from that. I am so confused as to what that actually means. There is so much information out there and I just don't know where to start. I am seeing my doctor again on Monday and hope to be armed with questions for her so hopefully my head slows down a bit. It is in my nature to just over think everything and that isn't doing me any favours at the moment.
Do you over think every little thing? What do you do to stop that?
Hugs and calming vibes for a bad day.
ReplyDeleteI used to think everything through from ever angel, and anguish over everything. However after a major life changing event nearly 4 years ago and therapy I've just learnt that I waste so much energy thinking about things that may never happen. I just tend to go more with the flow now.
Thank you! Today was a much better day.
DeleteI totally overthink things.
ReplyDeleteAre you planning on more kids? I know that PCOS can affect fertility, but does it have other impacts?
Over thinking things is such a pain ;P If only we could just let things go.
DeleteWe had are 'in talks' about another child. So that part of PCOS concerns me. But PCOS is more than just infertility. It effects things like insulin resistance, cholesterol, and gives you an increased risk of heart disease and some cancers. It is a endocrine disorder. So it affects hormone levels, which don't just affect ovulation, but a whole range of things. I really don't know the whole deal. Just the brief info my GP gave me this week. I will hopefully find out more on Monday.
Sorry to hear about the positive diagnosis. But at least you are pointed in the right direction to take to deal with your symptoms now. I over think everything too much. It can really make you feel sick when you can't relax and take things one step at a time. It also makes the simple everyday stuff seem so much harder to deal with. I'm guessing by now you've googled pcos and it's just made your head spin even more. Good luck with your appointment. Thinking of you. Do you have someone to catch up for a cuppa with. It's nice to share your thoughts with a friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shelley. I have googled, but confused myself even more so I stopped.
DeleteThe friend that I would usually talk about this stuff is going through quite a bit at the moment, so instead I am stuck with my hubby who understands zilch ;-p
I'll get there though :)
I'm sorry I missed this yesterday. I hope today is a better day. Perhaps there is a forum somewhere so you can connect with others with PCOS? Or perhaps put out a call on Twitter? There's bound to be other bloggers who have shared their experiences. Take care, OK?
ReplyDeleteThanks Laney, today is a better day. I have found a forum, it is all just a little overwhelming at the moment.
DeleteThanks so much for your comment x
