I have to admit quilt patterns scare me, I don't know why. I think it may be all the precise measuring... I am more of a wing it person myself, so after looking at about 5 different patterns that I could use my for jelly roll of Summer House by Lily Ashbury for Moda and still having no idea what I wanted to do, I decided to just layout all my fabric and go from there.
So I did:
And then I cut the strips in half
And then I started sewing them together. When I started sewing the strips I figured out how I am going to form my quilt top. But you will just have to wait until the big reveal to see what I decided to do. Fingers crossed it works!

But hey at least I finished the bunting!
I will be getting back to my quilt on the weekend and hopefully finish the quilt top now that I have the fabrics I needed for the boarders.
I love Summer House. Such a beautiful range if fabric. That designer has some new fabric due out soon. I've ordered and can't wait.
ReplyDeleteOh don't tell me that! I have put myself on a fabric ban until I use up at least half of my stash!
