GCB and a giveaway

I have been enjoying the first season of GCB every night after the kids finally go to bed. It is a no thinking required show which is just what I need at the moment!

I missed it when it was on TV and if you did too I think you need to add it to your Christmas Wish list!

If you know nothing about GCB here is a quick run down-

From Darren Star, creator of Sex And The City, and Robert Harling, writer of Steel Magnolias, comes a deliciously fun, wicked new drama that shows you can go home again...but only if you're ready to face the sins of your past. Indulge yourself in the guilty pleasures of GCB: The Complete First Season. Back in high school, original mean girl Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb) mercilessly tormented her less attractive classmates. Twenty years later, after her hubby is busted for a Ponzi scheme - and meets his maker in a particularly scandalous way - a disgraced Amanda is back in Dallas to start life anew under her mother's (Annie Potts) palatial roof. But will the good women of her hometown welcome her with open arms or dole out some kick-ass karmic payback Let's just say, hell hath no fury like cosmetically enhanced, resident church diva and scripture scholar Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth)! Relive all 10 episodes of GCB, including "sin-tillating," never-before-seen special features, in this divinely decadent collection.

And guess what?! I am giving away a copy of GCB season 1 on DVD.

All you have to do to go into the draw is tell me your high school horror story.

Entries close on the 20th of November 2012 and the winner will be notified via email.

Disclaimer: I was send a review copy of GCB season 1 for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own

  1. My High School horror story is WAY to embarrassing to put out there on the Internet. Let's just say they still talk about it even now. I think it actually became a sort of Urban Legend.

  2. That would be the time my sadistic school PE Teacher forced me to jump over hurdles. I fell on my face in front of all my school friends, as I predicted. Never make a short person jump hurdles!

  3. I love this show - it's a pity it got cancelled, it was developing into a guilty pleasure of mine!

I have lots of high school horror stories, mainly centering around me on stage in school musicals or with the school orchestra. I used to play the double bass and as I am only 155cms it was taller than me. I remember having to lug it up the mall for a school performance one day - I was so exhausted and flustered after hauling something bigger than me for 20mins that I could hardly pluck the strings properly for the performance!

  4. Mine would have to be the amount of times i managed to fall UP and Down stairs :/ i've never been fantastic with them even she i was little and the school i went to was built and set around pineapple fields which meant there were stairs everywhere!! i remember one day i was running really late to class so i was running up the stairs to get there and of course i fall up them in front of a whole bunch of people and some teachers. At least i can laugh about it..

  5. I have a large nose, so my high school horror story spans across the worst 3 years of my life. For 3 years I was mercilessly bullied by a boy who called me "Effe Elephant". :(
