My awesome Christmas present

On Christmas day I told you that I did in fact receive something of my wish list. I was blown away by it as I really didn't expected it at all.

I received this-


Plus an awesome accessories kit with two lenses, and I have been snapping away ever since!







It is still on auto, but I WILL be taking it off soon. I just want to get a bit more comfortable with it before I do.

Do you have a DSLR? Do you have any tips for me?

    Wow! Congratulations Amy! I love my Canon Eos, even though she is very old now (350D). My best tip - have two batteries and a charger - you'll need them because you won't be able to put the camera down for at least 12 months! (I took 72 thousand photos in my first year - absolutely not kidding!).

    Thanks Sif! I'd believe that you took that amount of photos! I have only had mine since sunday and have already racked up close to 700!

    It actually came with two batteries! I have only charged up one, but will pop the other one in the charger now that you mention it!
