Thankful Thursday- Unexpected presents

Don't you just love it when a parcel arrives in your mail box and you have no idea where it come from? Or maybe you do but just wasn't expecting it.

That happened to me this morning. I received a parcel that was marked as Air Mail from New Zealand. I was thinking hang on, I haven't ordered anything from across the ditch lately... And then I opened it to find this:

And then I opened it it some more and found this:

And then I jumped up and down excited over how gorgeous it is! I mean isn't it the cutest thing in the world???

Thank you so much Juliet! I love it to the moon and back.

And I have decided to do get in on the loving and do my own Pay it Forward just in time for Christmas.

If you would like to be a part of Pay it Forward, please let me know in the comments and I'll be in touch. To be a part of Pay it Forward you to agree to these rules:

"I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this message, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade by you, and it must be sent to your 5 giftees sometime in 2011. Ready, set, GO!

Now I know that 2011 is coming to an end so I figure we will extend it until Easter 2012. Does this sound okay??

No worries if you don't want to be a part of pay it forward!

So do you like unexpected presents or surprises in the mail??

I am also linking up with Kate from Kate Says Stuff for Thankful Thursday

  3. What a great idea! I'd love to be involved but can't commit to making something for 5 people; I'm struggling just to make things for my kids for Christmas!

    Such a beautiful gift though!
