Looking back

*WARNING* This post is VERY photo heavy.

Looking back to 2 years ago our life was different yet the same as now. We had not long relocated from Queensland to Western Australia and were still adjusting to life in the Pilbara. We had just taken the kids on their first trip to Perth (we've now been about 4 times in 2 years) and we were a family of 5 and thought we would stay that way seeing as my body wasn't really co-operating.

But 2 years on we are well and truly settled here in WA, we've moved from a small 3 bedroom house to a small 4 bedroom house last December and this is where we will most probably stay until Caden reaches high school and we pack up from this remote part of the world to somewhere that offers better schooling opportunities for our kids.

We have also welcomed Darcy into our family and have become a family of 6. Looking back I can see just how much the kids have grown and changed but yet are still the same. It's weird how things can be the same but different.

What has changed for you in the past 2 years?

  1. Gorgeous pics.
We relocated from Sydney to Central West NSWjust over 3 yrs ago. [After we returned from a 10wk roadtrip to WA.- love WA and want to go back]
In that time I've had malignant cancer twice, been through six months chemo a year other treatments , then radiation. I've seen my sons grow from cheeky 5 1.2yr olds to wise , internet savvy almost 9yrs - the time sure flies. I couldn't imagine living here over 3 yrs ago. I love it.

  3. Oh wow, I just looked back two years and it was a whole different world! Actually it wasn't that different - we were still in the same house and we still have the same number of children today, but my head space was definitely very different. It's amazing what a different two years can make. #TeamIBOT.

  4. Lovely photos! My life has just got busier! 2 years ago I had a 4 month old and a 1 year old. That was MUCH easier than a 3 year old and 2 year old, let me tell ya! Otherwise not much has changed :)

  5. Hubby has finally taken on permanent employment after 22 moves and being on contract for as long as I can remember. While I'm hoping we have one more move in us to our dream home (once we sort out selling our NSW property), it means no more relocations and up rooting kids at a short notice. Our last move was from NSW to Perth 5 or so years ago.

  6. Wow 2 years!
We've moved to the other end of the country, and will probably stay for a while. Change is good, but moving is hard. It's nice to feel settled :)

  7. It's true so much can change in 2 years, especially when kids are growing and changing so rapidly.

  8. Stopping by from Cate's blog. Cute kids! Your kitty in the top photo looks JUST like our Ashley. Is it a ragdoll? No big changes here in the last two years, but certainly a lot on the horizon over the next two years!

  10. After several stable years, we've just up and moved house. Other than that, it's been business as usual. Just the way we like it.
